Polished Concrete in Alabama
A Floor That Shines Without the Maintenance
Polished concrete uses industrial grinding and polishing equipment to refine your existing slab into a smooth, glossy surface, with no coatings or waxes required. Because the finish is part of the concrete itself, it will not peel, chip, or wear away like a coating, and it stands up to stains, moisture, and heavy foot and forklift traffic.
We can grind to whatever level of shine you want, from a soft satin sheen to a bright, mirror like gloss, and strengthen the surface with a penetrating densifier such as Ashford Formula, which we are certified to apply. The result is a low maintenance floor that keeps its look for years.

Steve R.Polished Concrete FAQs
What is polished concrete?
Polished concrete is your existing slab mechanically ground and refined with diamond tooling until it reaches a smooth, glossy finish. There is no coating involved, so the shine comes from the concrete itself.
How is it different from epoxy?
Epoxy is a coating applied on top of the concrete, while polishing refines the concrete surface directly. Because there is nothing to peel or delaminate, polished concrete is extremely durable and long lasting.
Is polished concrete slippery?
When dry it offers good traction and is no more slippery than tile or sealed concrete. For areas that get wet, we can add a treatment that improves slip resistance.
How much maintenance does it need?
Very little. Routine dust mopping and the occasional damp mop keep it looking great, and a periodic re polish can refresh the shine in high traffic areas.
Can you polish an old or stained floor?
Often yes. Grinding removes the top layer along with old coatings and many stains. We assess the slab during your free estimate and tell you honestly what finish is achievable.
Can I add color?
Yes. As certified color specialists we can stain or dye the concrete before polishing for a custom look that gets sealed in by the polish.
